White oak is a naturally rot-resistant hard wood species, with closed cellular pores that block water. This makes it really useful for Soap Dishes and other products that need to be water and rot resistant. It is also harder than Walnut and Red Oak, making it really resistant to dents and blunt damage. I may use this in future products that come in contact with water. At the moment I use it for my soap dishes.
