These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Root & Branch Woodworks and any purchases made through this store. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the store.


2. Handmade Products

  • All items are crafted by hand, and natural variations in wood grain, tone, knots, and texture are expected.

  • Product photos represent the general style of each item; the piece you receive may differ slightly due to the nature of real wood.

  • Custom pieces may require additional communication to finalize details.


3. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are listed in USD and may change without notice.

  • Payment is required at checkout.

  • Taxes are applied where required by law.

  • In the event of a pricing error, Root & Branch Woodworks reserves the right to cancel or adjust the order.


4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Orders ship to the address provided at checkout.

  • Standard processing times vary by product; custom orders may take longer.

  • Once shipped, delivery timelines depend on the carrier.

  • Root & Branch Woodworks is not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, or incorrect addresses.


5. Returns & Refunds

Because each item is handmade:

  • Custom orders are non‑refundable.

  • Standard items may be returned within 14 days if unused and in original condition.

  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged.

  • If an item arrives damaged, contact Root & Branch Woodworks within 7 days with photos so the issue can be resolved.


6. Cancellations

  • Orders may be canceled within 24 hours of purchase.

  • Custom orders cannot be canceled once work has begun.


7. Custom Work

For custom pieces:

  • You agree to provide accurate details, measurements, and design preferences.

  • Root & Branch Woodworks may decline custom requests that are unsafe, impractical, or outside the shop’s capabilities.

  • Any sketches, mockups, or design concepts remain the intellectual property of Root & Branch Woodworks.


8. Marketing & Media Use

By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Root & Branch Woodworks may photograph, film, or otherwise document your product during its creation process and after completion.

  • These images and videos may be used for marketing, social media, advertising, product listings, educational content, or promotional materials.

  • Custom designs may also be showcased unless you request otherwise before production begins.

  • Personal information (such as names or addresses) will never be shared without permission.

This clause ensures transparency while allowing the brand to highlight craftsmanship, process, and finished work.


9. Intellectual Property

  • All product designs, photos, descriptions, branding, and written content belong to Root & Branch Woodworks.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, or resell designs without written permission.


10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the store for fraudulent or unlawful activity

  • Interfere with the website’s functionality

  • Provide false or misleading information during checkout or communication


11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • Root & Branch Woodworks is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

  • Liability for any claim related to your purchase is limited to the amount paid for the item.


12. Privacy

Your personal information is used only to process orders, ship products, and communicate with you. Root & Branch Woodworks does not sell or share your information with third parties except as required to complete your order.


13. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be updated at any time. The version posted at the time of your purchase applies to that order.
